The Inspection Process
A thorough Home or Condo inspection and detailed report is prepared following the ASHI Standards of Practice, (American Society of Home Inspectors). ASHI is the oldest Home Inspector Organization in the US with education and mentoring programs. You can trust that your ASHI inspector is competent and up to date.
The typical inspection will take about 2.5 hours, larger and older homes may take up to 4 hours and a condominium will require about an hour. I encourage your participation and questions. Participation will help you understand the inspection report and insure you make a sound purchasing decision.
The inspection report is an easy-to-read detailed report that can be downloaded and printed or read on-line. Included are photos and diagrams that illustrate the condition of your home and the corrections required. The online report may contain links to additional information and short videos that will help you understand the described issue.
THE INSPECTION INCLUDES:
THE CONDITION OF EVERY MAJOR COMPONENT, FROM THE ROOF TO THE BASEMENT
MAJOR AND MINOR DEFICIENCIES
HELPFUL HOME PRESERVATION TIPS
SAFETY CONCERNS AND MUCH MORE
YOUR ROOF IS ALWAYS INSPECTED
Sometimes a roof is either not safe to walk or too high for access and not visible from the ground. I am an FAA certified sUAS (drone) pilot and will conduct a drone photo survey at no additional cost to you. You will not see the comment "Roof inspection limited due to access restrictions" on a home inspection report by BATTEN TO BEAM INSPECTION.
The equipment and structural systems used in your home are important for your comfort and lifestyle. Repairs and replacement are often expensive and unexpected. I operate your equipment, identify defects, evaluate the installation and determine the age with regards to typical lifespans. Foundation, and structural systems are inspected and deficiencies are described.
